Aesthetics & Beauty - need to put lipstick on a pig

Inquiring as to sources of inspiration for the aesthetic design of clocks.

I have the mechanic design of my first clock completed and partially built.  So far, it looks like a seventh-grade shop class project about to receive less than an A.  If form follows function, this thing will never run.  Visualize a wildebeast with bad hair.

Can anyone recommend websites or books that showcase beautiful clocks?

I'm able to find thick glossy magazines that are devoted to high-end watches and that include hundreds of beautiful pictures.  Is there similar material out there for clocks?

Dave,

Gary Mahony hosts the site below that features pics of clocks designed and constructed by many of the folks that post to this forum.  Lots of inspiration to choose from as well as technical data.  I haven't seen any printed publications or magizines with pictures of wooden works other than the 1986 Westphale article in "Fine Woodworking".

Good Luck,
Gary
