soon some pictures

I have a few pretty good shots of a couple of clocks I will put here.  Judith, my wife, is a professional photoghrapher so my pictures are good.  I know that not everyone has this advantage so don't hesitate to place your photos here because you think the quality is not so hot.  We will forgive much to keep you involved.

Grasshopper escapements

Here are 2 escapements, the wooden one was made for a 6 inch dia wheel many years ago and was a good runner but the arc was execessive and i decided it was too dangerous. A heavy sharp lenticle bob could do serious damage to anyone passing the open works of the clock. The lower one has been made with the maths given on this forum, it uses an escape wheel of 1.8 inch dia. I had a real problem trying to fit the counter balance tail on the exit pallet with the limited space available. I had to make the tail with a dog leg to clear the entry pallet, its still in the rough but will look good when polished.
