Hi Rabbit, thanks for taking the time to update your site, its well worth the wait. One thing i have noticed is that the more you become experienced at making these clocks, you are becoming more likely to take on the challenge of a sculptural clock. Its not an easy thing to design, i know, i have tried. I might have to pick your brains about your 5 second grasshopper clock, its great, regards Dave

Thanks for the update Rabbit, I've wanted to see more of your work since I first found your site.  As an engineer, I appreciate your techincal prowess (especially for the Time Warp!), but also as an engineer I revel in your artistry that goes far beyond pure functional engineering.

WOW!  Truly great work, Rabbit.   You are definitely a source of inspiration for the rest of us wood butchers.

Are you cutting those gears by hand - or with a CNC?  If CNC, which one/how big, etc.

thanks for all the compliments! as i said before, it's the work of all you that inspires me.
Joe, i cut 'em all by hand - no CNC. i don't even have a lathe or a router, only a crumby scrollsaw and a drill press. i made my first two clocks with only a hand fretsaw.
Title: how 'bout moving pictures?

Rabbit;

With the new camera and updated website, you need just one more step -- movies of your clocks!  Surely your new digital camera can record short low-res mpegs?

I'm dying to see your Dent remontoire actually move!  And the flyback on the retro... whadya say?
