i just built Brian Law's escape for a new clock i'm working on.
i chose it because it just plain looks cool, and goes with my new project.

this is a very robust design. it's easy to build, and works great! it uniquely has the impulse face on the wheel teeth rather than on the pallets.

I have been working up to building a clock based on this escapement because, I agree, it looks cool. I was about to start when I came across your post.

I was wondering if you were able to get G-code from Brian Law to cut the wheel on a CNC router or if you modified the design from his PDF file and cut it manually. By the way (and I am sure you have heard this before) it was looking at your gorgeous clocks that gave me the itch to build one of my own.

Brian provides DXF files for all four clocks.  Many Cnc programs will import the DXF and will generate G-code.

Thanks for the information. I will see what I can get from the site.
